Course Description

Let your children to have a dedicated time every week to focus on their writing and learn novel techniques to express themselves in writing and verbally with confidence.   Learning objectives and course features: Story Reading and Genre Writing sections are carried out alternately every week.   Story Reading Section:  By reading out, retelling and then writing up a summary of a story by themselves, children not only increase their reading capability and vocabulary but also improve their writing skills through teacher’s guiding steps.   This section is designed to strengthen children’s short-term memory, enhance their pronunciation, expand their word bank and also let them gain confidence in expressing themselves verbally as well as writing succinctly.    Genres Writing Section: Children will look at different aspects of writing skills, including plot structure, problem / solution, dialogue, poetry, characters development, descriptive techniques and the use of metaphors and similes. Children get to practice writing different genres covering personal or creative narrative, letters, poems, opinions, and information.   This aims to encourage children to let their ideas flourish, learn new writing techniques and develop their imagination and their confidence to write more on different types of compositions.
